And here is my eldest finding out that scrapbooking might be her thing.

I decided to make a toilet paper spare roll holder today. I'm buying a house and my plan is do an aurora borealis theme. So this is what I did with fabric markers:

Some crafting for just me

Still mostly doing things for these Halloween swaps and so haven't been posting a lot. But spent my movie watching making some tea towels for myself. Picked up the tea towels already with the transfers missing tuesday and Sunday. I think I have the same aunt Martha transfers if I dig them out. Just not the same quality tea towels. These seem sturdier than the ones I picked up from target.

Some things I've been doing

That aren't necessarily swap related

My crafting world has been overtaken by swaps

So unfortunately I am unable to update in fear of lurking partners!  I have been working feverishly however, I can promise you that!  The one non-swap related thing I have started making is birds nest pendants.  I will upload a picture or two after this post from my iphone.  The fair is in town and we will likely be wrapped up in that and visitors who come from about 300 miles away to the fair, as we live a mile from the fairgrounds!  So I think I will need to make some sourdough bread to be ready for the influx of visitors.  I will start that when I get home, as I am working right now.
We are also buying a house and we have the house inspection tomorrow... then after the seller finishes their repairs its off to the bank to appraise the house.  Hopefully we will be in the house by November, closing in mid October, after PFD time.  I am SOOO excited because this is our first home either of us have ever bought.  Their are so many ideas in my head for what I want to do to it... it has an unfinished daylight basement too.  I hope I can get things straightened out soon enough to transplant my rhubarb and strawberries from our place we are at now.  We have raspberries too but the new house does as well and thats ok!  So more later...

Felted sweater purse

Embroidering some fall leaves on this. I haven't been able to share what I have been working on because I am in two major Halloween swaps and can't share my crafting of said items until they are sent!! I still have to go back and finish the garter before too late. Sighs. Not enough time in my day!

Alaskan summer

Well jeanne and I took a road trip up to matanuska glacier and found a mess of ripe raspberries and explored a few places. I discovered that they have blocked the old hwy off by a massive gravel pile and I usually go pick blueberries down there. Might have to bring the bikes with us to pick up there. When we returned we made fresh salmon and salad from the garden. Fine thing eating mostly food from the land. Yum. Then we processed jakes fish after he got back at 2 am. We have to can salmon later today. 11 packs went vacuum sealed to the freezer.
Still awake at 515 am. Ugh.
